EUGENE, Ore. - Women's sports were just beginning to find their identity as they fought for equality in the 1970s. It was at this time that women's basketball was starting to emerge in our region, but without a rivalry that formed between two of the greatest players in our state's history the path for the Ducks, Beavers, and women's basketball in the Northwest could have been very different.
